Back-Order Policy

Some products at GB Toys are sold as back-order items — typically specialty, rare, or harder-to-find trading card products that we source from our trusted distribution partners when you place an order. This lets us offer a much wider catalogue than would be possible if we held every item in stock, with no compromise on product quality or authenticity.

Back-order items are clearly labelled on the product page before you check out, so you always know what to expect.

How back-order works

When you buy a back-order item, we place an order with our distributor as soon as your payment is processed. Items typically arrive at GB Toys within 3–7 business days, and we dispatch to you within 1–2 business days of receiving them.

Total expected time from order to dispatch: 5–10 business days.

You'll receive your shipping confirmation and tracking number as soon as your order leaves our warehouse.

Stock confirmation and the small chance of cancellation

Distributor stock levels change throughout the day, and in a small number of cases an item that appeared available when you ordered has sold out by the time we place the order with our supplier.

If this happens, we'll:

• Email you within 1–2 business days to let you know
• Refund the affected item in full to your original payment method
• Ship any other items in your order at no extra cost

You're never charged for items we can't fulfil. Refunds typically appear in your account within 3–5 business days, depending on your bank.

Mixed-cart orders (in-stock + back-order)

If your cart contains both in-stock and back-order items, we'll hold the in-stock items briefly to dispatch everything in one shipment once your back-order items arrive at our warehouse. This keeps shipping costs down for you and reduces packaging waste.

Prefer your in-stock items shipped separately? Add a note at checkout or email us within 24 hours of ordering at admin@gbtoys.com.au and we'll split the shipment at no extra cost.

Back-order vs pre-order

These two terms get confused, so to be clear:

• Back-order items are existing products currently being restocked from our supplier. Dispatch: typically 5–10 business days.
• Pre-order items are upcoming releases not yet available anywhere. Dispatch: on or shortly after the published release date.

Different items in the same cart may have different timeframes. Each product page shows its status.

Cancelling a back-order

You can cancel a back-order item for a full refund any time before it's been dispatched. Email us at admin@gbtoys.com.au with your order number and we'll process the cancellation. Once your order has shipped, our standard returns policy applies.

Returns

Back-order items are covered by the same returns policy as our in-stock products. Trading card products must be returned sealed and unopened within 14 days of receipt. See our Returns Policy for full details.

Your rights under Australian Consumer Law apply regardless of whether an item was in-stock or back-order at the time of purchase.
