Shipping & delivery

How long does shipping take in Australia?

Standard shipping takes 3 to 7 business days to most metro areas. Allow extra time for Western Australia, the Northern Territory, and remote postcodes. Express shipping arrives in 1 to 3 business days within the Australia Post Express network. GB Toys dispatches orders within 1 to 3 business days of being placed.

How much does shipping cost?

Australian standard shipping is $10 flat. Australian express shipping is $15 flat across the Australia Post Express network. Free standard shipping applies on every Australian order over $250. International shipping is calculated at checkout based on parcel weight, size, and destination country.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes. GB Toys ships internationally. Prices are calculated at checkout based on the weight and size of your order plus your destination country. Customers are responsible for customs duties, taxes, and import restrictions imposed by their country.

Will my order arrive in time for a release or event?

Pre-orders ship on or before the publisher's official release date. In-stock items dispatch the same or next business day. For time-critical Australian orders to Sydney, Melbourne, or Brisbane, choose Express shipping for 1 to 3 business day delivery.

How do I track my order?

You will receive a shipping confirmation email with a tracking number once your order leaves our warehouse. Track domestic orders via auspost.com.au or the Australia Post app. International tracking is provided by the carrier shown on your confirmation email. If the tracking email is missing 24 hours after the dispatch confirmation, check spam first then email us.

Pre-orders

How does the 5% deposit work?

Selected pre-orders accept a 5% deposit to reserve your copy. The remaining 95% is charged shortly before the product ships, using your original payment method. The 5% covers supplier reservation costs and is non-refundable if the pre-order is cancelled.

When am I charged the balance of my pre-order?

GB Toys charges the balance shortly before dispatch and emails confirmation when the payment processes. The release date set by the publisher determines the timing.

Can I cancel a pre-order?

Yes, with two conditions. A deposit cancellation forfeits the 5%. A fully-paid pre-order cancellation incurs a 25% fee. Pre-orders already dispatched cannot be cancelled. The full Cancellations Policy covers every case.

What happens if a pre-order is delayed by the publisher?

Publishers set release dates and occasionally slip them. If a date moves, GB Toys notifies pre-order customers. You can wait for the new date or cancel under the standard pre-order terms.

What is the difference between Pre-Order and Coming Soon?

Pre-Order means stock is allocated and orders can be placed with the 5% deposit option. Coming Soon means GB Toys has confirmed an upcoming product but is not yet accepting orders. Subscribe to the newsletter to be notified when Coming Soon flips to Pre-Order.

Returns & refunds

What is your return policy?

30 days from delivery, extended to 45 days during promotional periods. Change-of-mind returns require unopened original packaging with seals and wrappers intact, and the customer covers return shipping. Opened booster packs or unsealed collectibles cannot be returned for change of mind because of tampering risk.

My order arrived damaged. What do I do?

Email admin@gbtoys.com.au within 7 days of receiving your order. Include your order number, a description of the damage, and clear photos of the product and packaging. GB Toys replaces damaged items at no cost, refunds in full where replacement is unavailable, and covers return shipping for the damaged item.

I received the wrong item.

Email admin@gbtoys.com.au within 7 days of delivery with your order number and details of what arrived. GB Toys sends the correct item and arranges return of the incorrect one at no cost to you.

How long does a refund take?

Approved refunds process within 7 business days of GB Toys receiving the returned item. Your bank or payment provider may take additional time to land the funds in your account.

Products

Are GB Toys products authentic?

Yes. GB Toys sources from authorised distributors and supplier partners with traceable inventory. Every product ships sealed in original publisher packaging.

Do you sell singles?

No. GB Toys specialises in sealed product: booster boxes, booster packs, elite trainer boxes, starter decks, bundles, accessories, and acrylic display cases. For singles, AU specialists like Good Games TCG and TCGplayer carry deeper inventory.

Why do you stock English, Japanese, and Simplified Chinese Pokémon?

Different print runs matter to different collectors. English-language sealed is the broadest Australian retail market. Japanese product often releases earlier and includes sets that never get an English release, including Mega Evolutions. Simplified Chinese is the newest official Pokémon region and is gaining collector demand.

Payment & checkout

What payment methods do you accept?

Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Shop Pay, Afterpay, and Zip. All prices are in Australian Dollars and include GST where it applies.

Is the checkout secure?

Yes. Checkout runs on Shopify Payments with PCI DSS Level 1 encryption. GB Toys does not store your payment details.

Can I use Afterpay or Zip on pre-orders?

Buy-now-pay-later services are available at checkout on full-payment orders. Pre-orders using the 5% deposit option do not support BNPL split across the two charges.

Account & orders

Do I need an account to place an order?

No. Guest checkout works without an account. An account lets you save addresses, view order history, manage wishlists, and access past reviews.

I haven't received my order confirmation email.

Check your spam folder first. If it is missing more than 30 minutes after placing the order, email admin@gbtoys.com.au with your name and approximate order time.

Can I change my shipping address after ordering?

Only before dispatch. Email admin@gbtoys.com.au as soon as possible with your order number and the corrected address. After dispatch, the order can be redirected through Australia Post at the customer's cost.
