Yu-Gi-Oh! OCG Introduces First-Ever Full Art Cards and Limited Serial Number Rares
Share
Konami has officially revealed an exciting new evolution for the Yu-Gi-Oh! Official Card Game (OCG). Two upcoming booster collections — LIMIT OVER COLLECTION – THE HEROES – and LIMIT OVER COLLECTION – THE RIVALS – — will celebrate the legendary history of the Yu-Gi-Oh! anime while introducing brand-new card designs and extremely rare collectibles.
These special “festival packs” highlight iconic protagonists and their rivals from across the franchise, featuring classic ace monsters with updated artwork, new effects, and even anime cards that have never been printed before.
A New Era: Yu-Gi-Oh! “Overframe” Full Art Cards
One of the biggest innovations revealed for these sets is the Overframe card design, the first time the Yu-Gi-Oh! OCG has introduced a full art style card layout.
Unlike traditional cards that keep artwork contained within a standard frame, Overframe cards allow the illustration to break out of the borders, creating a dramatic 3D visual effect that makes the monsters appear more dynamic and immersive.
For collectors and fans, this represents one of the most visually striking upgrades to Yu-Gi-Oh! cards in years.

Introducing “Grandmaster Rare” – Serialized Collector Cards
Alongside the new card design, Konami has also revealed an extremely exclusive rarity called Grandmaster Rare.
Each of these cards features a unique serial number from 1 to 100, making them highly limited collector pieces. With such a small print run, these cards are expected to become some of the most sought-after Yu-Gi-Oh! collectibles for investors and hardcore fans alike.
Serialized cards have become increasingly popular across trading card games, and Yu-Gi-Oh!’s introduction of this rarity signals a major step into the high-end collector market.
